The Tempelhof Airport was still in operation when I first started going to Berlin
annually for an industry convention but it was never my airport and I
had never set foot upon it before my friend took me to the now defunct
site open to the public. The vast open space with runways makes for an
interesting visit. The old terminal buildings are now rented out for
events and functions.
A baseball field in Germany? A sign of American presence.
